Our Purpose…
is to present speakers who will provide a penetrating analysis in varied fields, including education, economics, philosophy, religion and culture.
We Believe . . .
that the ultimate survival of any nation is dependent upon the depth of its moral and spiritual convictions. Therefore, we seek a fresh insight into the privileges, obligations and responsibilities inherent in this nation and incumbent upon us to discharge.
Membership now exceeds 250. New members may join throughout the year.
History
The Spokane College Women’s Association was conceived in the summer of 1963 when 12 visionary women held a brainstorming session. With invitations to 100 women, the first meeting was held September 25, 1963 in the Washington Water Power Auditorium (now Avista). Since then, the organization has held to its beliefs and purposes, presenting seven outstanding luncheon speakers and programs annually.
Spokane College Women’s Association is a group of women who believe Americans need to reexamine and rediscover the values and principles by which we live. SCWA provides stimulating programs on issues affecting our world, nation, communities and homes.
